A house intruder who wasn’t human recently assaulted a man in central Florida. According to officials, a black bear escaped into a garage, fled into the home, and ran down the hallway after getting scared when the door shut behind it.
Zeke Clark, the homeowner, claimed that his family panicked when they saw a bear. The bear ran into the bathroom as his dogs were barking. According to Clark, he seized a gun and shut the door behind the invader.
The bear was hiding in the shower when Clark opened the door, took aim, and fired once. The animal struck out and pressed up against the door that was closed.

Authorities report that no charges have been brought in connection with the event, and no other members of the household were hurt.
People are warned by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) to use caution when in places where wild animals are present and to never leave food out or doors open unattended. Additionally, if they feel endangered by an animal, they can contact the FWC Wildlife Alert Hotline at (888) 404-3922. Additionally, they urge locals to call if they witness any sick, injured, or endangered animals.
