Keshav competed for and gained the phulpur parliamentary seat in the Allahabad district in the 2014 Indian general election. he was elected as the Bharatiya Janata party’s Uttar Pradesh chairman on April 8, 2016, the first day of Chaitra.
In the year 2012 Keshav become the first MLA of BJP from sirathu tahsils. That time was the first time any MLA from BJP was elected from sirathu tahsils. In phoolpur he becomes the MP.
