Pakistani Security Forces Kill Dozens of Taliban Fighters in Raids

As you all know, the TTP is also known as the Harkat-e-Taliban (TTP), or is a separate organization, but it is affiliated with the Taliban group that controls Afghanistan.

A statement released by the Pakistani military stated that several raids were carried out on TTP hideouts near the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. According to reports, 45 TTP fighters were killed during these raids.

The army’s statement said that Pakistani soldiers “fighting valiantly, made the supreme sacrifice and embraced martyrdom” in Bajaur, South Waziristan, and Lower Dir.

Islamabad recently said that Afghanistan supports the TTP’s activities within its borders. Additionally, it urged Kabul to “fulfill its responsibilities and refuse to allow its soil to be used for terrorist activities against Pakistan.”

The operations are claimed to be the product of an intelligence operation, and the Pakistani government has expressed concerns that the group is receiving outside assistance.

According to Al Jazeera, skirmishes with the TTP have killed over 460 persons, the majority of whom are security forces, since the beginning of the year.
