South Carolina Judge’s House Fire: Investigation Underway After Blaze Destroys Home

Breaking News:- South Carolina Judge’s House Fire. As per CNN affiliates WCSC and WIS reported, South Carolina home of a state circuit court judge and her husband, a former state senator, is under investigation

As per WIS reports, Firefighters went to a fire near Edisto Beach in Colleton County on Saturday afternoon. The house is owned by Judge Diane Goodstein and her husband, former state Senator Arnold Goodstein, according to WIS. Following the blaze, three persons were hospitalized.

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division sent officers to the location, the South Carolina Supreme Court said in a statement.

“The Chief Justice, John W. Kittredge, is aware of an event involving Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein. SLED is now on the scene and will commence an investigation as soon as the fire is put out, the court stated in a statement Saturday.

“Local law enforcement partners have been notified and requested to offer additional patrols and security. The Judicial Branch will maintain constant cooperation with SLED.

According to WIS, three persons were transported to a hospital by firefighters. The extent of their injuries remains unknown.

One patient was evacuated by air to the Medical University of South Carolina. Two others were taken to the same hospital, according to Colleton County Fire Rescue Capt. K.C. Campbell, WCSC reported.
