His life and achievements were honored by the Royal Society of Chemistry with the first Chemical Landmark Plaque outside of Europe. The first pharmaceutical firm in India, Bengal Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, was established by him. His book, A Timeline of Hindu Chemistry from of the Earliest Times to a Middle of the Sixteenth Century, was released in the past (1902).
